When formulating, I follow three core principles:
Cold-pressed and nutrient-rich
I prioritise cold-pressed seed oils to help preserve their natural omegas, antioxidants and polyphenols.
Gentle by design
My formulations are free from added perfume and essential oils, created to support dry, sensitive skin without unnecessary disruption.
Purposeful, not excessive
Every ingredient has a role, chosen for comfort, nourishment, barrier support or the sensory experience of the ritual.

Transparency matters to me.
I aim to be clear about the ingredients I use, the role they play in each formula, and the choices I make when formulating for dry, sensitive and changing skin.

sustainability and sourcing
Creating skincare with care means considering more than the formula itself.
I choose suppliers who prioritise ethical and sustainable practices, using organic, upcycled or regeneratively farmed ingredients where possible.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and hux+mū is not perfect. My focus is on making thoughtful choices where I can, from ingredient sourcing to packaging, while continuing to improve as the brand grows.
